Needs more instrument....

I Want dj stuff ( ex: techno and rave instruments) but great app!!!!

Extremely Well-Designed

Very polished and full-featured app. The instrument quality isnt on par with the level of GarageBand, but the sequencing tools are incredible. It would be nice to have a larger array of drum kits, and perhaps upgrade the acoustic kit with more options and higher quality samples. Or better yet, be able to export the midi tracks to use. In GarageBand. All said, great app and well worth the money.

Its ok

Hoping things will get better with updates

Promising, but needs work

Its very enjoyable to play with, but Im not in love, and for the process I paid, a little disappointed to be honest. Feels like a companion to the desktop FL, not a stand alone app like Id been hoping for. Good for quickies, but anything complicated and youll find it wanting. A lot of the tools are a bit awkward, and some core components have been unacceptably buggy (the sequencer view in particular).

Great first effort!

Fantastic! Very well thought out and intuitive out of the gate. Needs some interface work, but knowing the developers, it likely wont take long for things to get tweaked. And for the in-app sample and additional feature store to open up!

Intuitive

Fl studio has always been my favorite program to produce music next to ableton. This app has tons of instruments but slightly lacks in the area of filters. Dont get me wrong its definitely worth the money but dont rely on it for a full fl studio experience.

Vocal recording

Love this app best portable studio out there ..... Please add vocal recording and sample recording for future would make this 10 stars

Good start

So this is the same company that swore it would never develop on a UNIX platform. Welcome Fruity Loops. We are Mac users and we pay. Still a lot to do on this app since they must have pretty much paid the owner of Music Studio for his design (so its essentially a rip of another software) Some bads: - Grid doesnt display lines on anything shorter than 1 beat. Forget it if youre trying to make shorter notes coz youll just have to guess where they fall. Thats less than ideal for a real musical scratchpad. - The playhead indicator only jumps in beats. Theres no way to tell exactly what note is playing at any specific time (other than anything thats on the beat). It needs a sweep motion rather than a jump from beat to beat. - If you feel like seeing the app crash, hit play while you add/edit notes in the piano roll. It will either crash or play a random note for excessively long. - Editing notes is less than ideal. Its quite cumbersome. It needs a rethink on how notes are entered. It has to be faster since this is a out of my head and into the speakers-- notes come out of my head a LOT faster and takes way to long to get it into the app. - Scrolling in the Piano roll is over-sensitive. You can place your thumb on the keyboard and it will start flying all over the place. Remember, when you enter notes, you generally enter them within close proximity to other notes (either melody writing or harmony -- both have similar needs) so if you need to scroll you dont need to fly up 3 octaves right away. You more than likely want to go up an octave at the most. - Overall volume is a little on the low side. That can be a good bad thing based on how you want to mix your tracks. - Forget trying to access the website forums. Youll register on the site and wont be able to read a single article for Mobile apps. - Forget trying to get in touch with support on the iPad. Their forms dont even work on the iPad. Some Goods: - Decent sound engine. Thanks Music Studio! - Good looking UI. - Decent preloaded synths - Nice looking keyboard Overall its a great piece of software. But its not worth the $20 pricetag for me. Not yet. Lets see what future versions bring to make it worth it.

Perfect, just Perfect!

This has to be one of my favorite entertainment sources i can use if I get bored. Im stunned at how easy I can get around with this app. The tools are a bit hard to understand, but I will soon get the hang of it. FL Studio Mobile is something Im sure to use all the time. Keep it up! For those who dont know, self-created audio support will be coming in a future update. And for each instrument, why not have their own effects like EQ instead of every track that has effects enabled? And why not create a free demo version with less instruments and no file sharing?

Buy this app now!

I have been an fl studio user for years. This program is the best music app on the store.

A solid sequencer

This release is stable and closer to what I expect in FL on iOS. Recent additions like audiopaste and step sequencer swing move it closer to being a serious contender. In future releases Id like to see improved sample editing and mapping features for the kits and instruments, and more automatable parameters in the step sequencer.

Easy, intuitive, but not so poser full...

I think its excellent for beginners or kids..., but for something more powerfull, for experienced musician for exemple, go to nanostudio. Its just Better, really! For exemple with FL studio you can apply effects globaly only but with nanostudio, all tracks have their distinct effets. Also, with nanostudio, you can tweak more things.

Working Great on New iPad 3rd gen

I love this app. Ive been using it on my new iPad third-generation and it just looks wonderful and is running smoothly thanks team for a great app cant wait for the update for the graphics for the new iPad cheers

Fl studio Review

Best app for the iPad! Very fun and addictive

It looks far better than it is to work with. :(

Having just spent the last hour plus, working on my Tangerine Dream ambient tune idea ... inserting / editing notes in its notes area is a major P.I.T.A! One of the most difficult things is placing the notes in the view, with proper quantization. (Doing it without, is quite difficult to place with any strong timing accuracies, hence, bringing you back to quantizing to help yourself out. :( ) But - dotted note lengths? Wholey schidt! Talk about even FURTHER pain in the a! Anything outside of 4/4 quantization is extremely difficult to do. Ive had to do the note placements by eye and ear. I got them in to their satisfactory positions but ... is it really worth the time required? (I dont remember ever having troubles like this working with the few versions of Fruity Loops that I did in the late 90s and / or early 2000s.) Next - changing things over time. Recording wise, you have _ONE_ set of effects, for the entire collection of tracks in the sequence. Not, per track, like the other sequencers that Ive seen so far. That helps to take away from the mood of the piece if youre using an effect to help accentuate a sound. (I was using Filter Cutoff and Resonance on one of the presets to give it some animation through the 1st 24 bars. As soon as I added a bassline, IT had the same effect applied to it. Nope. Cant do that. Thereby, lost the Cutoff/Resonance changes. :( ) Next - trying to zoom in and out of the track youre working on as well as moving the track along to look at it further into the tune? A horrible method for doing both of those! I havent seen that many sequencers yet, but their method IS by far, the worst way of doing it that Ive yet seen on the i-Pad 3. :( Next - volume changes have to be done note by note. They cant be recorded over time. Overall - composing by manual placing notes (as opposed to recording things by playing live) in the current version, takes way, way too much time away from the creative flow. It shore looks great but ...

Great app

I bought the desktop version of this software probably a decade ago, and when I found it in the app store I knew I had to try it. I wasnt disappointed. You wont be either, so long as you remember that this is truly a mobile app Its not going to have the features you expect from the desktop version, and it cant, given the memory and processor restrictions that are part of the environment. However, it is extremely stable, performant, and fun. I love it.

Great, but

Its lots of fun, the packs included are a limited, but the update with downloadable content opens up the program so much more. A beat slicer would be awesome. Message to image line: Make slicex for iOS and link it to fl studio!

Awesome

Thanks for adding voice recording. 5 stars!!!!!!

Not bad

Almost good but not worth the money. The App is pretty limited as to what you can do. Limited amount of sounds and no ability to tweak the individual sounds leading to generic sounding songs. The fx settings are applied to all tracks that have fx enabled rather than being able to apply different fx to each track. i thought this would be close to the pc version which it isnt. It is a decent drum machine though.

Fl Studio, Its amazing!

Im good musician, not star, and when i buy this app, 20 $, its little bit expensive! I love this app. If you play music and you like create music, buy this app!
